Women Race For The Cure
Lakewood, CA - October 17, 2007 - 131 all women teams invaded Barstow for the 2nd Annual Powder Puff Race for the Cure, presented by M.O.R.E, Damzl and Kar Tek Off Road, this past weekend.
Racers came from as far as Canada to participate in this one of a kind event. While Shirley Jergensen in car 156 took first overall, the real winner was Cedar Sinai Womens Breast Cancer Research Institute, as all the proceeds will go directly to them.
"It was a great event with everyone coming together to help fight this brutal disease. To see so many women and their families out made my heart swell for joy. This is only our second year and we had such a great turnout that I am positive you will see us around for a long time to come." Said Heather Birdwell of Damzl.
